This year for Earth Day, we made recycled cardboard painted Earths! My sons are only 2 years old, so it can sometimes be hard to set up a craft for them. This craft could not be more simple! I paired the craft with these Letter Tracing Tiles. These are a favorite in our home.

I try to make things as simple as possible. To paint our Earths, I put 2 dollops of acrylic paint on a piece of cardboard, and had the boys blot them with a sponge. These little sponges were perfect for their little hands! It created a beautiful texture in the paint which made it look just like to Earth.

We read the book My Friend the Earth to celebrate Earth Day. It is a beautiful and powerful book. The kids really enjoyed it.
